May 22
      spent the night at Clayton State Park.......no water or elect. but it was cool enough.  Saw lots (herds?) of deer.  along Highway 87
 
May 23
     got gas at Pueblo.......stopped at JDL Trailer & Sales to get  vent for RT to replace the original that the Dumas winds got.  cost $51.05        breakfast at McDonald's.......spent uneventful night at T-Joe's RV Park in Cheyenn e Wyoming       $17.50
 
May 24
     left at 6:35 and drove 333 miles to Sheridan, Wyoming.........spen t Thursday night ain Billings, Montana at KOA.........Randy and Heidi came out to visit us and brought some buffalo meat from her freezer.  We had burgers at Fuddruckers.
 
May 25
     Left Billings Friday at 6:45 a.m.   had  breakfast at Roundup......got gas at Great Falls...........spent night at Lewis and Clark RV Park in Shelby ..cost $26.22
 
May 26
     a new fallen snow was just ahead of us.....the grass was frosty ;and vehicles were cautious.  We stopped at rest area and I threw a snowball at Darrell.........he was less than enthused......  we went on to Red Deer and got gas $129.50...........spent night at Red Deer Lions Campground for $18.00........left Red Deer at 8:20
 
May 27
     spent 2 nights at Edmonton so we could investigate Edmonton Mall.  Ben was impressed with the waves there!  (beach?)  also got laundry done.  cost $61.50.... .we left there at 7:13 a.m.
 
May 28
     got gas at Grand Prairie    99.290 ltrs. for $118.55..........mileage now 49,759......kept going
 
May 29
     Got to Dawson Creek....spent night......left Dawson Creek at 7:38 a.m.  (Good Sam Park $21.00)
May 30
     took "Old Alaska Highway" to Kiskatinaw Curved Bridge (wood) built 1942..........saw a b rown bear laying on hillside ..........sunning?        sleepi
ng?          dying?................went on to get gas at Ft. Nelson......stopped for night at Stone Mountain Summit Lake Provincial Park..........cost $7.00.....left at 7:30 a.m. Thursday and saw many mountain goats and one moose.  Ice on lake was 6-8 inches thick ..........stopped at Liard Hot Springs..walked and looked....then went on down road to see 3 buffalo beside road and then some more buffalo........several...Just after entering Yukon we spotted Black bear at 1:21 before arriving at Watson Lake.
 
May 31
     stopped at Nisullin trading post........spent night at Annie's  RV
 
June 1
      left camp at Annie's Salmon Bake RV at 8:02 a.m.     pleasant sunny day with snow-topped mountains all around us........stopped at Yukon River rest area.............got to White Horse where Ben bought RV battery at WalMart for $69.52..............spent night at Kluane National Park Icelandic and it WAS!!!!!!!!
 
June 2
 
     stopped at Destruction Bay (and it was) FasGas........mileage now 50,889....saw caribou by road....got to Alaska line at 12:33................GOT GAS at Tok for $3.19 per gallon, just like Texas!          spent night at Rika's Place at Delta Junction.....left again at 7:30 a..m.            (cost $5.00)
 
June 3-4
     spent nights at Riverview RV Park in Fairbanks..  cost $57.30..........toured Arctic Circle with North American Tourist (guide Tom - very good) cost $149.00 each.  had lunch at Yukon River bank and had dinner at the Yukon River Cafe on our way back.......A bear had spent some winter time there and left many t-shirts and stuff that had to be sold "barely used"..........the salmon dinner was very good.
 
June 5
     bought gas at Riverview campground and went to North Pole where I ordered Christmas letters to be mailed to the great grandkids come Christmas..............Ben adn Darrell got oi9l changed at WalMart........we spent night at Pioneer Park......interesting.........left there at 7:39 a.m.
 
June 6
     Visited Dredge #8 "gold panning" of course......left there at 11:30 a.m.....got to Denali Park at 3:30 p.m. 
got set up at Riley Creek Campground. 
 
June 7
     In Denali Park, we saw a honey-colored bear and her brown cub frolicking on the road in front of the buses which of course stopped to watch.  We also saw wolf, dahl sheep, and other wildlife.....very good trip to Denali...Shuttle tickets were just $57.50 each.
 
June 8
     left Riley Creek campground at 7:00 a.m. going toward Anchorage............at 9:05 we saw black bear at edge of road and her 2 cubs in tree.....Cubs were climbing the tree but mama b ear came back and got them down and out of sight......got into Anchorage at 12:15 noon.........located Propane place and spen t night at Shipcreek RV Park ..$21.60 for all hookups..............next night we drydocked at Eagle River Campground for $15.00..........went back to Anchorage to Propane place to get Darrell's refrigerator taken care of........
 
June 11
     Spent night at Kelly Lake.......trout fishing allowed with temp. license Ben and Darrell had bought.
 
June 12   
     no fresh fish......left to go to Homer.......saw a moose in town at Homer.....got gas at Anchor Point, AK
spent ;night between Homer/Seldotna .....left at 8:30 am. ........went to Ninillik River.
 
June 13
     spent night again at Kelly Lake ...........a lovely place.......left at 7:31
 
June 14
      Got to Seward at 9:37 a.m.     From Palestine we have now come 5,258 miles.   .....   Nice picture of waterfall at Seward....pictures of salmon at Cook Inlet/Bear Cfreek out of Seward........drove to Hope and stopped east of Hope for the night.
 
June 15
     made pictures of glaciers at marker 103 before Glennallen on Tok Highway......spent night at Tok "three B ears....left again at 7 a.m. ...........getting 16 mpg..........most of the time...........got 17 just 3 times!...got gas at Destruction Bay again.......yes, it is rightly nameds!!!!!!
 
June 16
     got back to White Horse at 5:30 p.m.    ...Spent night at Pioneer RV PARK......$19.08 AND we could watch TV and WIFI ------------full hookups!!!!!
 
June 17
